I was diagnosed with asthma over 35 years ago and unfortunately I caught covid in April 2020, prior to the vaccinations and it has had a detrimental effect on my asthma. They explained the application in easy to comprehend terms, all sailed through with just over an hour phone call from them to guide us through the process. Although we answered honestly we thought the chances of being offered attendance allowance wouldn’t be feasible, but to our amazement all successful... yes we did pay a small percentage to them, they made our life sweeter but unexpectedly, thank you!!!”

PIP: frequently asked questions
Is PIP means-tested?
No. PIP is not means-tested and does not depend on your income, savings or National Insurance record. It is tax-free and can be paid whether you are in or out of work.
Can I claim PIP if I work?
Yes. PIP looks at how your condition affects your daily living and mobility, not whether you are able to work. Many people in full-time work receive PIP.
Do I need a specific diagnosis to qualify?
No. PIP assessments look at the day-to-day impact of your condition, not the diagnosis itself. Two people with the same condition can get different outcomes depending on how it actually affects them.
