Canada Pension Plan Disability benefit
CPP Disability
A monthly benefit from Service Canada for people with a severe and prolonged disability that prevents regular work. Not means-tested — based on your CPP contributions.
Worth up to roughly C$1,606.78 a month in 2024, plus C$294.12 a month per dependent child.

Child Disability Benefit
A monthly benefit for families raising a child under 18 with a severe and prolonged disability, paid alongside the Canada Child Benefit once your child is approved for the Disability Tax Credit.
Worth up to C$276.83 a month per eligible child in the 2024/25 benefit year, reduced gradually with family income.

Disability Tax Credit
For people with a severe and prolonged physical or mental impairment, certified by a qualified medical practitioner on Form T2201.
Worth roughly C$9,428 as a federal base amount in 2024, and can sometimes be claimed retroactively for up to 10 years.
