We think fees should be easy to understand. Here is exactly how our pricing works, what you get for it, and why many people choose Silverwings over applying alone.
You Have a Free Choice
You can apply for every UK benefit yourself, completely free, through GOV.UK. Free help is also available from charities such as Citizens Advice, Turn2us and Age UK.
Silverwings is a paid, independent service. We operate on a no-win no-fee basis for the applications we support, which means there is no upfront payment and no success fee if your claim is unsuccessful.
Nobody has to use us. We are simply here for people who would rather hand the paperwork, tracking and follow-up to a professional team.

Not everyone will qualify for every step. We check each one based on your circumstances and only proceed with your agreement.
Same-Day Submission Where Possible
Once we have everything we need from you, we aim to submit your application the same day. The sooner it reaches the DWP or council, the sooner the decision process starts.
We say “where possible” because sometimes we need a bit more information — for example, a missing document or a detail that only a family member can confirm. We will always tell you exactly what is needed and why.
We Do Not Forget About It After Submission
We track your case as it moves through the system. If the DWP or council requests more information, we deal with it for you. If there is a delay, we chase it.
You are not left ringing helplines or re-explaining your situation. We keep the momentum going so your application does not sit in a queue longer than it needs to.
Rejections and Mandatory Reconsiderations
If a claim is rejected, we review the decision with you. Where appropriate, we will submit a Mandatory Reconsideration at no extra cost.
There is no additional success fee for the reconsideration itself — it is part of the service. We only ever charge our fee once, and only if an award is eventually secured.

20% of your first year's award + VAT (24% inclusive).

- ✓No upfront payment. We only invoice after a successful award.
- ✓No success fee if unsuccessful. If the claim is not awarded, you owe us nothing.
- ✓The fee is calculated on the first year's award or saving only. You keep 100% of the benefit from year two onwards.

If a fee becomes payable, you can pay in full by debit or credit card, or spread the cost where available:

20% + VAT = 24% inclusive of VAT. The fee is calculated on the first year's award or saving only. Expressed against the full 5-year value in this example, the combined one-off fee represents about 4.8% — meaning you keep roughly 95.2% of the support found.
